Private Collector Chooses Errol Classic Auction To Sell His Treasures

Errol’s Classic Vehicle Auction on the 9th June will provide a rare opportunity for enthusiasts to bid on a fantastic selection from the renowned RMP private collection! The long time collector has chosen a wide range of lots, 10 in total, from his collection and is generating significant interest from bidders nationally and globally.

The private collection includes an exquisite 1949 Jaguar Mark V. This particular example, which comes with a guide price of £28 to £30K, was originally Lavender Grey with Blue Trim but has been resprayed a beautiful Black with Maroon trim. The Mark V styling followed pre-war Jaguar lines with upright chrome grille.

The collection also features a red 1978 Jaguar XJ 4.2 with 47,000 miles on the clock and an appealing guide price of £16,000 – £18,000. Other top lots from the RMP collection include a 1946 Rover 10, 1960 Morris Minor Traveller and a rare diesel 1975 Land Rover Lightweight Series III fresh out of NATO Reserve Storage with only 20,204 kms on the clock.

There are plenty of great entries outside of the collection, with a 1970 Porsche 911T Targa being one of the major draws. With a guide price of £50,000 – £60,000, this fabulous example was recently imported from Pasadena, California and is a right hand drive model. Another sporty entry comes in the shape of a 1969 Ford Escort which was built at Ford Halewood as a 2 door 1300 automatic super saloon and it has been the subject of a major professional restoration and re-creation by its previous owner.

If you are looking for something unique with a touch of luxury the 1968 Daimler Sovereign may be the car for you. This Renfrewshire registered example is a rare factory air conditioned model and is believe to be one of only 6 produced. This car has a price tag of £20,000 to £24,000 and has been the subject of a 12 month specialist restoration. The vendor states that he purchased this car directly from the previous owner who was an ex-Jaguar manager at Browns Lane, with the car being his pride and joy for the last 14 years.

With these and more than 150 entries going under the hammer Saturday’s auction is a not to be missed event. The auction kicks off at 11am, at Morris Leslie Vehicle Auctions, Errol Airfield, Errol, Perthshire, PH2 7TB.
