New Auction Hall Houses Classic Car Sale
Perth is set to be the place to visit this May as Morris Leslie Vehicle Auction’s quarterly Classic Car & Machinery auction takes place at Errol Airfield, Perthshire on Saturday the 23rd of May. This auction is set to be bigger and better than ever as alongside this auction is the launch of Morris Leslie’s brand new development, a new state of the art Auction Hall. The 26,000sq ft. of indoor space the new auction hall provides will be the showcase for some truly beautiful and rare vintage motor cars and machinery up for auction.
Not only does the auction coincide with the new auction halls first official engagement but it is a double bill, with other 100 vintage tractors set to go under the hammer. This sees a unique opportunity to purchase from a collection of predominantly Ferguson & Fordson Tractors due to a deceased estate.
With an expected turn out of in excess of 1000 visitors, this auction will be the biggest Perth has ever seen, and with a diverse range of lots including vintage cars, tractors, machinery, lorries and motorbikes there is sure to be something for everyone.
Over 200 entries are expected for the classic car sale including a beautifully restored Mercedes Benz 220 Cabriolet A - an early first series, flat screen Cabriolet A example, of which a total of only 997 were produced between 1951 and 1955. This lot is proving very popular, attracting lots of interest and is looking set to meet its £90,000 to £100,000 guide price.
Another lot attracting attention is a 1959 Jaguar XK150, this car has gone through a complete nut and bolt restoration. Originally distributed through Jaguar Eastern Canada the Jaguar XK150 arrived in the UK in 2014 and is now fully UK registered. Other leading lights under the auction hammer are a 1963 Austin Healey MKII, a 1961 Daimler SP 250 and even a 1987 Cadillac Eldorado!
With the combination of a new development opening its doors for the first time, over 300 lots available and catering onsite, this is sure to be a fabulous day out for the whole family. Entrance is £5 for adults (including catalogue and car park) and under 16’s go free.
